TALK TALK TALK!!!
All the time. He is bursting with new words everyday. He chats up anyone, especially when we go to the grocery store. My favorite things he says “whoa bumpy” and “purp-O” (Purple)
He knows all his colors and is doing so great learning his letters. “A B C B J K M N OOOO Z” And he can count to 5! The other day we saw a couple walking their dogs and I asked him how many dogs do they have, he answered correctly with “TREE.”
He knows so many animals and all the sounds they make.
Still obsessed with Wheels On the Bus and every dog he sees!
All of a sudden he has developed new fears, washing his hair, going to the nursery at church and waking up from nightmares. He also hates when we are all going somewhere together and we do not all leave the house together in one big clump. He freaks! He was also afraid of the pool for two weeks straight but then went away, thankfully! I know that the fear stage is totally on track developmentally but it makes me so sad to see him get scared.
He eats and eats and eats. We finally renewed our Costco membership. I now see why it is so good to have when you have little eaters with big appetites.
He is running, jumping and climbing everywhere and on everything.
Those awesome tantrums have started where I’m holding his hand and out of no where he throws himself on the ground and I feel like I’m going to pull his arm out of the socket to keep him from hitting his head on the floor. Yeah those kind.
Started taking an interest in watching a bit of tv. He loves Finding Nemo, Despicable Me and Toy Story, but most of all he loves Cars! He will watch a little bit of Sesame Street, Super Why, Mickey Mouse Club House, and Caillou.
The big new obsession is watching You Tube Videos on the iPad. He watches all sorts of cute learning videos.
For a good two weeks when I asked him what his name was he replied with ‘DAAAAVE” What?? Hahahaha we couldn’t figure out where he got it from. At first we kept thinking it was because of Ryan’s new boss David, maybe he overhears us mentioning his name? But then Miss Patty figured it out… Dave the Minion from Despicable Me!! Such a silly kid. Now he will say Liam but it sounds like “E-UM”. And he says McCarthy “Carthy”
He is still very into playing with his toys and is such a good cleaner when it is time to pick up. He even picks up his toys when he goes to his grandparent’s houses!
When he looks at pictures of himself he shouts “You” trying to work on saying me or Liam.
He is all about talking about Ashey, Kase and P.
My absolute favorite is the way he says I love you “I uhv uuuuu” He says it all the time and I can’t get enough!!
I am very much looking forward to all of the funny things this kid is going to say!
Oh and he doesn’t like staying still for pictures…maybe its because I always have a camera in the poor kid’s face. I just don’t want to miss a thing! It’s rare to get a picture of him actually looking into the camera but thats ok, I like getting him in action. That’s just who he is.
I can’t believe we only have three months until he is two.
