I’m not going to lie, I love my birthday. Always have. Can’t help it.
Except this year, something weird happened and I completely forgot about it until my dear friend Ashley asked me what we were going to do for it. My last few years have been pretty elaborate occasions! However, all my mind can seem to focus on is baby and work (have a ton to edit for www.ryan-dionna.com!!)
I decided all I wanted this year was my family and friends, mexican food and a real chocolate cake from Mulberries! So we all met at my favorite little hole in the wall Mexican food place and Ryan ordered me a beautiful Mulberries cake! It was perfect!
To make my birthday weekend even more special, Mike, Debbye, my Mom and brother came over yesterday and helped to clean, pack up the office, work on the basement, and paint Liam’s room! Which made me feel so beyond blessed! Huxley on the other hand, has not seemed very happy with all that’s going. He pretty much moped around all day yesterday because all of his favorite people were here and not paying attention to him. His world is going to be rocked in a few months!
So today, on my actual birthday, Ryan wanted to put the crib together 🙂 Best gift ever!!!! I’m so excited to be a mom and I know that his room is just a room but knowing that he will be in there with me soon is just the best feeling. Plus who doesn’t want to watch that moment when their hardworking, handsome, loving husband puts a crib together?? Sounds dreamy to me!
So this is how it went down……

Huxley, as you can clearly see, is very disturbed by what is happening. Would only watch from a far!
The crib is up and is absolutely perfect. Ryan put it together like a champ! When his room is finished we will be sure to post some pictures, but for now my mind is at ease knowing that we can start officially getting it ready for him! Perfect end to a wonderful birthday weekend!
