Yesterday, our brother Sean made it official and asked Ms. Kortnee McCarrell to be his bride! We are so unbelievably happy for them and we are so excited to call Kortnee our sister!
If you have ever been around these two or have even just seen pictures of them, it is so evident that they are perfect for one another. Sean has always had such high standards for what he was looking for in a wife and Kortnee surpasses them all.
Sean being the hopeless romantic that he is, devised an epic, heartfelt, and super unique proposal. We all met at a property in black forest and Sean filled us in on the plan.
At dusk, Kortnee was driven to the property by her friend Glorie, where she thought Sean was helping film a video. On the way, she was stopped in the middle of the road by Ryan, who asked her to get out of the car and handed her a letter written by Sean. She began crying realizing what was happening. Music all of a sudden filled the air and Ryan began to lead her down this road where she was met by her parents and Mike and Debbye, they gave her another letter. Then, they preceded to guide her down the road where friends and family filled both sides next to posters that Sean had posted love filled journal entries he had written about her over the past year. As soon as she passed, everyone began following behind her. She was then led to an opening where a few of us stood holding signs that marked the dates that they began dating, special moments, and the day he asked her parents for their blessing. Ashley, Pj, and myself held the last sign that said “Jan. 26th……..” Kortnee approached us with tears of joy streaming down her face and she grabbed me and hugged me so tight, it was such an emotional and special moment for me! The parents led her to one last station with one last letter. While her back was turned, thirty or so people lit sparklers pulled out glow sticks and noise makers. As soon as she finished reading the letter, she turned around and we all rushed her. “Youthfully frolicking” around her, everyone guided her to strands and strands of white lights that were hung above a small clearing. Under the lights with all her friends and family gathered around her screaming and cheering, we made an opening and Sean appeared. He hugged her tight and then got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
She didn’t say yes.
She said OF COURSE I WILL!!
You guys, it was awesome.

It’s always a good day, when this beautiful family grows!
P.S.
There were so many people involved in making this happen! I’m sure there was a lot more detail to this story that I am probably leaving out. You will just have to ask Sean!
