This past month has been a roller coaster! Shortly after Liam turned 1 month he was “diagnosed” with acid reflux and a dairy intolerance. He was throwing up pretty much everything I was feeding him and was VERY fussy! I will not lie, it was very hard physically and emotionally to deal with. I had almost given up breastfeeding him a few times because it was just becoming so draining on me. We decided to go ahead and put him on Prevacid for the reflux and I cooled it on the dairy. We started to see slight improvements I then decided to take him to see a chiropractor. No joke ,within a week he was a different baby. He is now on somewhat of a routine and seems much much happier.
On new year’s morning we woke up and all of a sudden there was his first smile! Talk about making your heart stop. I was so happy the next morning I was able to capture him smiling again on my phone. Since then he is all smiles every morning. After those long sleepless nights, I always look forward to the smiles, shrieks and sweet sweet Liam cooing that starts my day off right.
He is not a fan of tummy time at the moment, but that is because he would rather crawl! If we put our hands behind his feet he pushes off and moves forward! So strong! He is still BIG. Not chunky, just solid. I think the 0-3 clothes will make it right to 3 months and then we will have to pack those away. He started wanting the pacifier, however after 4 different pacifiers he only likes the one from Nordstrom. We finally broke down today and got him more! He lost his hair on the top of his head (like a little old man) the week of Christmas and it is finally growing back! He has a low hairline and widows peak like me! Finally something like me, besides the need for expensive Nordstrom things! He is still so much like Ryan! He makes a million different facial expressions!!!
This boy is a lot of work, no denying that, but I have never wanted to work harder at anything than I do for him.
We decided to celebrate these wonderful two months by using our new Zoo membership today. It was so beautiful outside and we had such a perfect time!
This turtle was escaping!!!
