I’m not going to lie. I am really excited to meet this little baby. Really excited doesn’t even describe it well enough. In fact I’m not sure how to describe the anxiousness I feel! I have never been a patient person, I’m not good at waiting at all. Luckily, we get a break in 4 weeks when we get to find out if it is a boy a girl (keep you posted)!
I have actually done really well not going crazy buying baby things yet. I have however, started dreaming and planning that sweet little room that will be just down the hall from ours. Lets just say gender neutral is not in the cards so it would be too hard to start getting all the little things to go in there! We did purchase a beautiful mid-century credenza that we will be using as the changer and dresser of course. I told my mother in law what we were looking for and she was very adamant about finding the perfect one for us and she came through! Very very excited about it!
In case you don’t know, Ryan and I purchased our townhome when we got married and my sweet in laws did an above and beyond job helping us fix it up. We literally replaced EVERYTHING in this place! Our goal was to stay here for three years. We hit three years in March. Right around the time that we found out that we were having a wee little bairn. So we threw the plan out the window to move and decided to finish the basement to have an extra bathroom, playroom and our office. We are so blessed that both our fathers have done home remodeling and they are taking time out of their own busy lives to help finish it for us together! We both decided it was much more important for me stay home with this little one for at least a year than to buy a new home right now.
So in the meantime, just daydreamin.
